Four out of Ten Gamblers Have Never Been to a Land-Based Casino

The UK-based sports betting community platform, Online Betting Guide (OLBG), conducted a survey of 1,000 gamblers, revealing that 40% of respondents have never visited a land-based casino.

The preferences for iGaming among players are diverse. According to a survey, 23% of online users express concerns about potential issues at land-based casinos, while 22% worry about their appearance. Another 20% prefer the convenience of staying at home or lack company. Interestingly, among those who have visited traditional establishments, 15% have only done so infrequently.

According to a spokesperson from Online Betting Guide, habits in the gambling industry are continuously evolving. The increasing popularity of online gambling sites reflects the changing needs of users. It is crucial for these platforms to adapt and innovate to avoid being surpassed by the growing number of individuals worldwide who are transitioning to online experiences.

The survey revealed that 43% of players find it challenging to access land-based casinos, while 32% feel more comfortable gambling online. Only 16% of respondents expressed the confidence to gamble offline. Among the desired destinations for land-based gambling, London ranked highest with 49% of residents expressing interest, followed by Las Vegas (31%) and Paris (11%).

An overwhelming 83% of survey participants acknowledged the transformative impact of the internet on gambling. Surprisingly, six in ten respondents expressed their belief that the future of gambling could be closely intertwined with virtual casinos that emulate the traditional brick-and-mortar experience.

Based on the survey findings, lotteries (53%), sports betting (52%), and scratch cards (41%) emerged as the most popular games among participants. Interestingly, 40% of respondents showed a preference for skill-based entertainment like sports betting and poker, while 16% were inclined to rely on luck-driven games such as roulette.
